Roots of Empathy 2019 Symposium at the Globe and Mail Centre

Updated: May 31, 2020

As the Research Coordinator at Roots of Empathy, I was fortunate to experience our fabulous 2019 Symposium at the Globe and Mail Centre. Thanks to everyone who came out and shared their questions and their energy with us! It was two days of amazing lectures by neuroscientists, including Baroness Susan Greenfield, Ph.D., Dr. Abigail Marsh, and Dr. Frances Champagne. I learned so much from these amazing lecturers on the impact of digital technology on the brain, the human capacity for altruism, our interconnectedness and social brain, the importance of human touch on our physical and mental well-being, the new research on the role of sleep, plus so much more!

I could not be more proud to be part of such an amazing organization. Roots of Empathy will be posting the lectures soon on their website and YouTube channel – so stay tuned!

They'll also be posting resources mentioned by the speakers.

Get ready for next year’s Symposium already booked for May 14th and 15th, 2020!
